The National Cadet Corps (NCC) is India's premier youth development organization, functioning under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India. With the motto "Unity and Discipline", NCC aims to develop character, discipline, leadership, secular outlook, and a spirit of adventure among young citizens.
The primary vision of the NCC program is to create disciplined, motivated, and patriotic youth who are capable of contributing meaningfully to the nation.
The program aims to develop character, discipline, leadership qualities, national integration, social responsibility, community service, physical fitness, mental resilience, confidence, and readiness for real-world challenges.
The NCC program at our institution operates in coordination with the Army Wing, Gurugram and follows the official NCC syllabus and training pattern. Students enrolled in NCC are known as cadets and undergo structured training throughout their academic tenure.
The program typically spans 3 years, depending on the course duration, and includes weekly parades, theoretical classes, and practical training. Cadets can earn nationally recognized NCC Certificate A, Certificate B, and Certificate C where applicable.
Cadets undergo regular drill sessions that instill punctuality, discipline, teamwork, coordination, smart turnout, obedience to command, and respect for hierarchy.
Physical fitness is a core element of NCC training and includes running, endurance exercises, strength training, obstacle training, yoga, health awareness, and lifestyle discipline.
Cadets also receive basic exposure to map reading, navigation, field craft, battle craft, weapon awareness, fire safety, and disaster response.
NCC includes Annual Training Camps, National Integration Camps, Republic Day Camp, adventure activities, social service camps, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, blood donation camps, tree plantation drives, and awareness campaigns.
Participation in NCC offers career advantages for defence services, CAPFs, State Police Services, government jobs, public sector undertakings, teaching, administrative roles, and overall employability. Employers value NCC cadets for discipline, integrity, leadership, team spirit, and reliability.
